Two Players signed to teams through Europrobasket had a great games playing against each other. Blake Vedder with CP La Roda and Greg Palmer with Real Canoe NC Madrid played each other this weekend. Blake had a great performance making 100% from the field!! 6/6 2pt, 5 rbs, 3 blks with an outstanding 19 valoration!! Greg also put up good numbers shooting 67% from the field!! 2/3 2pt, 2/3 3pt, 2 rebs with a valoration of 11!!

Congrats to Nkosi Ali for signing his first professional contract after only a few weeks in the Europrobasket International Academy Program! Nkosi is a highly skilled big man that attracted a lot of attention after his time in Juco. After being cut short in his two seasons in a 4 year University, Nkosi was left searching for opportunities overseas. With not much video and stats it made it difficult to get the looks that his skill set and size deserved. He and his parents made the decision to invest in his future and attend the Europrobasket academy for a month program. It didnt take long for the staff to realize he had potential. After receiving interest from several teams in Spain, the academy staff decided to put Nkosi with a very successful Spanish Agent, Jose Orts. Jose signed him to CB Myrtia Murcia, and will continue to help him throughout his future here in Spain. Thanks to partner agent Jose Orts and congrats to Nkosi Ali for signing his first professional contract overseas!!
Garny Garcia, a professional basketball player from the Dominican Republic signed with CBM Benifaió, through Europrobasket International Academy. Garny just finished his season in the DR, when his agent Nikola Bujukliev from Serbia contacted Europrobasket looking for a team to continue his career. CBM Benifaió just lost their inside player and Garny was a perfect replacement. This weekend will be his first game with his new team. Good luck this weekend and the rest of the season Garny!!
Xavi Vallmajó has been the Europrobasket coach for just over the past month. Xavi has deep roots in Spanish basketball in Girona. Born in Barcelona February 19th 1975, he grew up and became one of the franchise players for CB Adepaf Figueres, just 30 mins North of Girona. He started on the lower levels of the club and later moved to the Primera Catalan Senior level and competed for 5 years as a point guard. His best years were when he made a jump to the ACB, the highest level in Spain, and played for 6 seasons from 1997 to 2003 with Valvi Girona. After that he moved between various teams in LEB Gold, second division in Spain. He finished his last season in his home club and now is the Sports Director of that same club CB Adepaf Figueres.
During his time here at the academy he taught players the fundamentals and basic systems of Spanish basketball. Developing them to be successful European basketball players. Through his extensive knowledge and coaching he helped prepare 5 players to successfully be placed on teams throughout Spain!! Congrats coach and thank you for your time here at the academy! We appreciate the hard work and look forward to future guest appearances!
Europrobasket player Nkosi Ali just left yesterday on a 4 day tryout in Murcia, Spain. Ali is a skilled center with a good knowledge of the game. He can easily adjust to the different style and systems here in Spain which gives him a huge advantage. Nkosi came to the academy for a one month program, after two tough seasons in college in the US. He was only here for just a few days before getting interest from teams. He left to a tryout 8 hours away by train to the beautiful city of Murcia, Spain, in less than three weeks here at the academy. We wish Nkosi the best of luck on his tryout!!

PG needed for North Africa, $4-5k per month, apartment and flights paid. Only players with good experience will be considered. Professional or High Level NCAA Division 1.
PG needed for Western European team. $500-800 per month. Apartment included. EUROPEAN PASSPORT ONLY. Good stats the previous year in pro leagues.
Openings for Centers and Power Forwards:
Center opening in South America, $3k per month. Apartment, meals and flights. South American team needs a player with a SOUTH AMERICAN PASSPORT.
Center needed for North African team. $4-5k per month, apartment and flights paid. Only players with good experience will be considered. Professional or High Level NCAA Division 1.

Europrobasket would like to welcome guest coach from Brasil, Gustavo Freitas. Gustavo has worked for 8 years as a Head Basketball Coach for Nosso Clube de Limeira youth program, one of the best player development programs in the entire country of Brasil. He also worked for years as an assistant coach in professional teams Winner and Nosso Clube. During his career at Nosso Clube de Limeira he took the team 8 consecutive times to the State’s final-four , he won 1 South American Cup title, and received 13 awards as best coach of the year, in which one of them was for the best coach of the South American Cup. He also has a company in Brasil that helps get players scholarships to US Universities. They offer camps in the US and around the world to give players the opportunity to sign and receive a scholarship in the US. We are very proud to have such a great coach and person here at the academy this week! Thank you coach and we look forward to much more future work together!

We would like to congratulate Europrobasket player Amen Osayande on a great performance last weekend. He scored 13 points in 15 mins hitting 5/5, 100% from two point range and 1/2, 50% from the three! He helped his team to 4 consecutive victories. His team is now undefeated and tied for first place in the league!! He just recently received an offer to play in a higher division! Keep up the great work Amen, your already being noticed by teams in higher leagues and your only 4 games into the season!!

Europrobasket player Corey Walker was sent on a tryout earlier this week to the beautiful Mediterranean city Xàbia, Spain, with the help of Europrobasket partner agent Jose Orts. Corey came to the academy after a tough college experience. He was a standout player in Junior college, transferred to a division 1 University but red shirted. The next season he transferred to another NCAA D1 program, Cal State Fullerton but tore a ligament in his knee and sat out most of that season, trying to salvage what he could towards the end of the season. A series of unfortunate events in college that made it near impossible to get recognition from agents and teams abroad. Corey and his father made the decision to sign him up for the Europrobasket program in Spain. After a one month program, hard work, a great attitude, and a great game here in Spain, Corey was awarded a week long tryout. Both players have come to the academy and shown their level and attitudes. Jr is a PG and Chris is a shooting guard, both with the ability to score. Congrats to Europrobasket player Rhyce Donegal for signing with his club in Sils, Spain! Rhyce came to the academy for the month long program. He was sent on a tryout to a team near the academy facilities. This team has never had an import player and was impressed with Rhyce’s game. He was offered and agreed to terms with the team. Europrobasket and European Summer League Player Isao Kinoshita registered and signed with his first European team in his career. Isao, a native Japanese professional player came to the European Summer League Spain in June. He showed he had a high basketball IQ and could run a team well at the PG position. He was asked to come back to the academy in August for a few weeks to follow up with tryouts. After one tryout he reached an agreement with a team near Tarragona, Spain. Congrats to Isao, and good luck with your new team!!

Gaspar, a former coach for LEB and ACB teams here in Spain, is now a high level agent representing many top level players in the acb (1st Division) in Spain. Europrobasket and European Summer League player Isao Kinoshita finished a tryout receiving an offer with a team just outside of Tarragona. Isao was with us at the European Summer League and now is here at the academy following up on teams interest. Isao is Europrobasket’s first Japanese player and we are proud to say he has his first offer from a team in Spain! Congrats Isao!!
Just over month ago was the highest profile signing for Europrobasket since the founding of the academy last year. Pep Ortega is a highly professional and highly skilled Spanish Power Forward. He was named the LEB Gold 2nd MVP in 2013-14 and was promoted to acb the following season. He started the season for acb team Estudiantes and then moved to Manresa where he finished the season. He came to Europrobasket staff with the interest of taking his skills internationally. With the help of Juan Pablo da Pra of Nexus Agency, Pep Ortega signed his first contract overseas! The past few weeks Europrobasket and its partners Jose Orts and Nikola Stanic have been collaborating on a project to bring Serbian talent to Spain. This has leaded to the first signing of said program. Ugljesa Bogdanovic has signed his first professional contract of his career outside of Serbia. Albert Del Hoyo, Europrobasket and European Summer League Spain player recently signed in Club Basquet Igualada! Albert Del Hoya played last season in Club Basquet VIc, which is in Copa Catalunya (5th Division). This year he moved up to EBA (4th Division) after the European Summer League in Spain where he played exceptional and won an MVP award, and was introduced to Spanish agents. Coach Edi has coached the Croatian National Team, headed 1st Division teams in Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia! Recently Europrobasket was contacted by a very well respected Professional Sports Psychologist at University of Florida named Mitch Smith. He requested the help of Europrobasket Staff to help place one of his close friends. He sent the profile of Blake Vedder, a 7’3″ Center that has played for numerous D1 Universities in the US. Not receiving much playing time for his respective teams left him searching for contacts to get overseas. Sebastian Garcia with LUbasket & Sky BasketbAll Sport, contacted Eurorpbasket academy with an opening for a center. Within the span of a few days a contract was signed between LUbasket & Sky BasketbAll Sport, Europrobasket and La Roda, Spain. This will be Blake’s first professional contract.
